Greenline Safaris is among the fast-rising bus companies in Kenyan transport industry today. Founded in the year 2004 as a family business, the company had their first office in Kitale town as their headquarter with a minibus plying the Kitale – Nairobi route and a total of six employees.

With a lot of hard work and gaining the confidence of travelers in a span of three years, Greenline safaris expanded their services to other routes including Kimilili, Bungoma, Malaba, Chwele, Lwakhakha, Kisumu, Kakamega, Mumias, Nambale then later crossed the border Kampala – Uganda. This in turn offered more employment opportunities to people in these towns with the additional crew members like booking clerks, drivers, conductors, inspectors, loaders, mechanics, accountants and managers.

Aside from bus booking, Greenline Safaris offer other services like parcels services, business class buses and executive buses with VIP seats which are also available for private hire. They also have additional Canters for courier services and are in the process of working on door to door delivery services.

Their director, Mr Thuo, is always focused on improving Greenline services by taking employees through regular training sessions, direct calls to all their offices and checkup through their staff Whatsapp group.

This company’s main objective at the moment is customer satisfaction and they are doing that by going even more digital with their services. Starting with giving customers printed tickets for both seats and parcels, giving options for online and phone call booking for people who can’t reach the offices and partnering with other bus booking platforms such as BuuPass.

Their future plan is to completely go digital to make their services more accessible to their customers, reduce cost of traveling, create more employment opportunities, give education and medical support to the community and to build a children home.

You can easily reach them for any of their services through their office numbers; 0798546817 or 0719308288, social media pages like Greenline Safaris on Facebook and Geenlinesafaris on Instagram, send an email to [email protected] or you could walk directly into their Kitale office in Mumia highway and Nairobi office in Sherphed Arcade, Temple road, next to former Jack & Jill supermarket during their normal working hours.
